The Plataforma Solar de Almería (PSA), a dependency of the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT), is the largest concentrating solar technology research, development and test center in Europe. PSA activities are integrated in the CIEMAT organization as an R&D division of the Department of Energy.

CIEMAT and CENER Join Forces to Organize the 2nd International Workshop on Solar Tower Innovation at PSA
We’re pleased to announce that the 2nd International Workshop on Solar Towers Performance Enhancement and Cost Reduction will take place on September 18–19, 2025, at the CIEMAT-Plataforma Solar de Almería (PSA), in Spain. The event is jointly organized by CIEMAT and CENER (National Renewable Energy Centre of Spain) within the framework of the EU-SOLARIS project (financed by EU-SOLARIS ERIC Internal Project 2024): “In-depth Beam Characterization System Study in Terms of Commercial Solar Fields Analysis.”
